As a part of the requirements of the Ministry of Education, each student must complete a registration process in order to be considered a student of this school. Unless this is done, students will not be admitted to classes.

The standard Registration Package contains: bank vouchers, medical and registration forms. The following documents should be submitted in order to complete the registration process:

  • Completed Registration Form
  • Completed Medical Form
  • Two (2) recent passport size pictures (signed by a Justice of the Peace, School Principal or Pastor):
  • Not older than 3 months
  • No graduation pictures
  • No excessive makeup
  • Face should not be covered (no hair combed onto the forehead)
  • Ears should be visible
  • No head covering (except where this will be worn at school for religious or health purposes)
  • Copy of Official Birth Certificate (not the birth registration form, commonly known as the ‘pink slip’)
  • Copy of immunization card (indicating that the child is fully immunized)
  • Copy of TRN
  • Evidence of payment of parent contribution, book rental fees, and any other financial commitments
  • Paid bank vouchers
  • A copy of the parent/guardian’s identification (to go on the student’s file). Copy must be signed by a Justice of the Peace, Superintendent of Police  (or higher rank), School Principal or Pastor
  • Signed Code of Conduct Sheet

Where applicable, the following documents may also be required:

  • Copy of last report card
  • Letter of Transfer
  • Results from external examinations such as: CSEC, HEART/NTA, City and Guilds
  • Original recommendation/character reference letters

The first activity of the academic year is the proper registration and orientation of new and returning students. The first week in September will be used to get students to understand fully what the expectations of the School are. To be duly registered a student must:

  • Complete the Registration Data Form.
  • Provide two recommendations from reputable persons.
  • Provide birth certificate and immunization card.
  • Provide two passport size photographs.
  • Pay school fees or indicate method of payment.
  • Provide the last report from last school attended.

One of the purposes of the orientation exercise is to make all students and parents aware of the contents of the Handbook. After reading and discussing the Handbook each of you will know how to behave when you are attired in the school’s uniform.

Parents and their students are expected to sign the last page of the Handbook, which will be copied and filed.

Our child’s academic performance is also important to us, so we make time to speak with our parents/guardians on the progress being made in lessons. This is conducted multiple times annually:

  • October – to collect progress reports
  • January – to discuss performance on End of Term 1 examinations
  • April – to collect progress reports and discuss performance in Term 2
  • July – to collect the End of Year Report Card

Our Grade Coordinators also try to facilitate other brief, scheduled meetings with parents to discuss matters of concern. These are usually organized on three levels:

  • Individual
  • Class
  • Grade level
